Our account managers will update you on an ongoing basis with the findings from our internal tools and information on new AWS services and features: we will align these with your business strategy to ensure that you are using the optimal solutions for your business needs.
Our in-house software integrates a series of automated performance checks on your AWS systems, assessing whether infrastructure may be over-loaded in order to identify potential causes of performance issues. Our AWS certified engineers will respond to and diagnose any reported problems, leaving you free to concentrate on other areas of your business. When any alerts arise, we will conduct a Root Cause Analysis to determine what happened and how to stop it in future, whether that is tweaking the architecture or checking for issues in the software.
COST OPTIMISATION: DRIVING DOWN COSTS WITH AWS EXPERTISE AND OUR BILLING PORTAL
Our expertise in AWS and its pricing model underpins our ability to make recommendations – ranging from strategic advice on the hundreds of new services AWS introduce annually to simply switching off certain services outside of peak times – that will save money and improve profitability. Typically, we look at best practice in four areas: cost-effective resources; matching supply and demand; using our portal to improve awareness of expenditure and optimising use of AWS services over time.
AWS’s pay-as-you-go structure can lower costs significantly but also makes it hard to know where you are incurring costs and where savings can be made – particularly if you have multiple AWS instances for different internal users or departments. Our custom-built portal enables detailed analysis of expenditure, based on service, usage type, specific infrastructure resources, tagging and more; and automatically alerts you to potential cost overruns and cost saving opportunities. Billing information is updated every few hours and daily emails give you a rolling weekly breakdown of your AWS costs.
