Our Architects can design infrastructure to meet your backup needs based upon your Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO). For example, database servers can be configured to have real time backups in place, allowing you to restore data up to the exact second data loss occurred, whereas application files can be backed up on an automated schedule or if using Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3), file versioning can be configured, allowing you to restore previous versions of files at any point.
Whilst running applications across multiple data centers allows you to resolve many of the issues relating to disaster recovery, in the event of mission critical systems, we can also design architectures that can fail over to an alternative AWS region, allowing your systems to be up and running again quickly, even in the event of a total outage of multiple data centers
