Who We Are

Alastair is the Non-Executive Chairman at CirrusHQ and led an investment round in 2019. He also Chairs a SaaS fintech company, the Board of Trustees at WeSeeHope and the investment committee at a technology venture capital fund. Prior to his Non-Exec career, Alastair was founder and CEO of Six Degrees Group from 2011-2017 and prior to this he was CEO at AIM-listed SpiriTel plc. When not at work Alastair enjoys sailing and skiing with his family.

James is founder and CEO of CirrusHQ, with a 20 year career in software development and cloud engineering, James saw the value the public cloud could bring to businesses very early on, and continues to evangelise on the subject today. James understands the importance of the Customer Service to the Cloud model, ensuring that CirrusHQ customers receive fantastic service which drive our amazing NPS scores. When not at work James enjoys attending tech meet ups, being outdoors and walking the family springer spaniel and bearded collie at Yellowcraigs beach. Both James and Jan are passionate about supporting local charities working in the local community.

Jan is the Chief Commercial Officer for CirrusHQ, and is responsible for the Commercial Business Operations, Finance, and leads the People & Talent Management. Jan has worked at CirrusHQ for over 8 years and is one of the founders of the business. Jan brings over 20 years commercial and operational experience to the business and is passionate about the Service we provide to our customers. When not at work Jan enjoys meeting up with friends and family, participating in equestrian events, and walking the family dogs at Yellowcraigs beach. Both Jan and James are enthusiastic supporters of local charities working in the local community.

As Head of Technical Operations at CirrusHQ, Darren is responsible for the Service we provide to our customers 24x7 and ensuring we continue to achieve the outstanding NPS scores which serves to demonstrate the strong commitment to customer experience that is fostered by everyone at CirrusHQ. Darren brings over 20 years experience in leading support & service teams, and delivering 24x7 client services. Darren is ITIL qualified and when not at work can either be found zig zagging across many a fairway trying to improve his golf or watching his local football team.

Stephen is Head of Business Development at CirrusHQ and is responsible for our customer relationships and engagements across our Education, Private and Public Sector verticals. Stephen brings a wealth of customer success expertise in the Cloud and IT Services markets and is passionate about the success of our customers and their growth on the AWS platform. When not at work, he can be found on the pitch playing football or in the kitchen attempting his next simple culinary masterpiece.

John is the Head of Architecture at CirrusHQ. His team are responsible for the design and delivery of the customer infrastructure on AWS and delivering our Well Architected Reviews. John holds multiple AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional & Associate, and Certified Developer Associate) and has been a developer for many years. In July 2021 John was awarded the coveted title of Amazon Partner Network (APN) Ambassador as a result of his significant sharing of his expertise and contributions to the wider AWS community. Outside of work John enjoys reading, music and live gigs.

Carrie is the Marketing Manager at Cirrus HQ and is responsible for the Marketing strategy and planning; designing and executing the marketing plan to support the organisational strategy and overall business goals. With a wealth of experience within the technology sector, Carrie works with all teams across CirrusHQ, to ensure absolute alignment and collaboration across the entire Marketing Mix. In her spare time, Carrie can be found with a KitKat and a coffee putting her Marketing expertise to use as part of the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show Volunteer Committee, which runs an annual Art Show in Edinburgh raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Pete is Head of Strategy & Delivery at CirrusHQ, his role involves developing our strategic relationships with our key partners, as well as working with our strategic customers to enable them to identify ways to leverage more from the AWS Cloud. Pete previously worked at Oxford University Press as a Solution Architect where led the central AWS architecture and operations community. Outside of work, Pete enjoys meeting friends and playing board games, enjoys following cricket, and getting away for weekends.

Lauren is PA at CirrusHQ where she is also responsible for office management and the ensuring that the business runs smoothly day to day. Lauren works closely with the senior team and Board and is responsible for scheduling, project administration, and keeping the team organised. When not at work Lauren along with her family and close friends form a team (Relay Good Friends) that are actively involved in Relay for Life, which raises money for Cancer Research.
